Tommy Chavez

I have been part of the SoCal Rentals team full time since 2018, after previously working with the company as a freelancer on a variety of audio projects. Today, I serve as Operations Manager, overseeing operations across both our Los Angeles and Las Vegas locations. My role is focused on keeping things running smoothly and efficiently while supporting our teams and making sure we deliver the level of service our clients have come to expect from SoCal Rentals.

One of my favorite parts of being an Operations Manager is the people. I genuinely enjoy building relationships with our teams, learning everyone’s different personalities, strengths, and working styles, and finding ways to help each person succeed. For me, great operations aren't just about equipment, logistics, and processes; they’re about building a strong team and creating an environment where people can do their best work.

I am a proud father of two beautiful girls and a husband to an amazing wife who puts up with my silly personality. Family is a huge part of who I am, and I absolutely love spending time with them. Outside of work, you’ll usually find me fishing, enjoying music, or adding to my ever-growing fragrance collection.

Yes… fragrances. What started as an interest has somehow turned into a full-blown collection, and I’m perfectly okay with that!

Areas of Expertise

As an Operations Manager, I believe it is important to have a broad understanding of the equipment, software, and processes our team relies on every day. This allows me to effectively support, teach, and guide the team while ensuring we operate efficiently and consistently.

I feel my greatest area of expertise is bringing people together and creating a strong, cohesive operations team. I approach leadership much like coaching a sports team: I trust my team to do their jobs, provide them with the tools and knowledge they need to succeed, and step in to make adjustments or corrections when necessary. My goal is to keep everyone moving in the same direction, working together, and continually progressing toward a successful outcome for our client’s needs.
